WALLSTONE = STONEWALLS

Wallstone is fieldstone suitable for vertical stacking purposes. All of our wallstone products feature a historic patina (marketing speak for a weathered face). It is broadly sorted into these categories:

  • FLAT Wallstone

  • THIN Wallstone
  • ROUND Wallstone

The face of wallstone is the side of the stone. A good piece of flat wallstone has a flat surface on the top and bottom, and (in the case of "flats") a perpendicular angle from the side to the top.

Round wallstone is a little different because it can sometimes be similar to stacking bowling balls. A good piece of round wallstone would be a bowling ball that got melted flat on the top and the bottom.

Wallstone comes in Flat, Thin or Round dimensions

Flat wallstone is made from New England fieldstone.

A good piece of flat wallstone has a flat top and bottom to make it easy for staking. The face of wallstone is on the side of the stone.

Wallstone is categorized by heights:

1-4" = Flat wallstone thin

3-8" = Flat wallstone regular

5-12"= Flat wallstone large

We put together a handy wall stone materials calculator to convert tons to cubic volume.

Often times our "veneer" line of siding is a more cost effective and more aesthetically material for wall construction, particularly one sided retaining walls. Learn more about thin and building veneer.
